Is Luffy’s God Fruit the Only One of its Kind in One Piece?

Is it possible for other deities in One Piece to possess a devil fruit based on their respective identities, just like how Sun God Nika could have one?

The One Piece enthusiasts went crazy after discovering that Luffy’s devil fruit, which was originally believed to be a simple Rubber-Rubber Fruit, was in fact a legendary Zoan. Moreover, there had been a change in the name of the Human-Human Fruit Model, Nika by the World Government in order to conceal its real identity.

The revelation of the Luffy’s God Fruit – Sun God Nika was made in a chapter that was only a dozen chapters after Who’s-Who told the tale of the legendary warrior who was to liberate slaves and spread happiness across the globe. The Sun God was initially introduced in the Skypeia arc, along with three other deities. It is possible that each of them possessed their own unique fruit.

Are Devil Fruits Available to Other One Piece Gods?

When the Shandians were trying to stop the plague that was affecting their tribe, they decided to sacrifice Kalgara’s daughter, Mousse, to the god of Sun, Rain, Earth and Forest. Mousse had mentioned earlier that she would meet the Sun God, although it’s unclear if the Sun God she referred to is the same as Nika. The silhouette of Nika, a legendary warrior, appears to wear clothing that is similar to that of the Shandians. It is reasonable to presume that the Shandians would pray to great warriors for assistance, as they are a traditional people with such beliefs ingrained in their culture.

Is it possible for other gods to possess devil fruits? The God of the Rain, for instance, could already have a fruit user with that particular model. In Chapter 100, Monkey D. Dragon, who happens to be Luffy’s father, made his debut. During the events in Loguetown, a mysterious thunderstorm unexpectedly hit the town and saved Luffy from being killed by Buggy. This could be purely coincidental, but it’s worth noting that Dragon later showed up and seemed to use his power to create a strong gust of wind, which blew everyone away, including Smoker, who had Luffy pinned down.

Are Devil Fruits Available to Other One Piece Gods

Regarding the other gods, the Earth and the Forest appear quite similar, but in this context, Earth pertains to the landmasses. The Tremor-Tremor fruit, previously owned by Whitebeard and currently in the possession of Blackbeard, holds the capability to produce earthquakes. It is considered the most ruinous fruit globally, and rightfully so. The user of this fruit can divide and reposition the earth surrounding them. Although the upper limit of these abilities is still uncertain, what if they could relocate entire continents? It is possible that the awakening of the fruit could enable the user to manipulate the earth itself – similar to the powers of the God of the Earth. It is also conceivable that the World Government has retroactively altered the name of this fruit, just as they did with Luffy’s fruit.

Regarding the God of the Forest, it’s quite a challenging concept. Currently, there is no known power that can manipulate trees or plants. However, Usopp is considered the closest person to possess such an ability, though he doesn’t use a devil fruit. If a hypothetical Forest God fruit existed, the user would have the power to control the flora of the biome they are in, and even create entire forests in barren locations. This ability would be similar to Poison Ivy and dependent on the user’s knowledge of plants. The more they know about the flora, the more adept they can be in fights, utilizing the strengths of the plants. Since Luffy’s fruit is a mythical one based on a Sun God, it’s possible that other god fruits could be introduced in the story as One Piece approaches its conclusion, and these fruits could have significant implications.
