The Biwa Demon in Demon Slayer possesses an extremely dominant Blood Art that would be highly effective when used against other demons within the series.
The characters in Demon Slayer possess a wide range of Blood Art Powers that give them supernatural abilities, including Daki who can manipulate her body like an obi for both attacking and protecting, Rui who uses sharp, spider-like threads, and Enmu who can make his opponents fall asleep and enter their dreams. These powers are crucial in battle and are awe-inspiring in their execution. However, there is a demon whose power seems to focus solely on controlling other demons, rather than boosting their fighting strength.
The Infinity Castle, a haven for demons separated from the human world, has witnessed multiple appearances of the Biwa Demon. While she appears to be unemotional in the presence of Muzan Kibutsuji, unlike the higher-ranked demons, she carries out her responsibilities obediently and without uttering a word. Despite her quiet demeanor, her exceptional power is capable of eliminating any demon, including those deemed fit by Muzan or herself.
The Biwa Demon of Demon Slayer is Adept at Controlling her Fellow Demons
The power dynamic in Demon Slayer has undergone a significant change with the manipulation of an entire dimension, but its extent and impact have been glossed over. The Biwa Demon demonstrated the ability to summon both Lower Ranks and Upper Ranks to Infinity Castle, all under Muzan’s control and against their own wishes. This came as a surprise to Akaza, who believed that the Infinity Castle was linked to the death of another Upper Rank.
Following Muzan’s instructions and departure, the Biwa Demon was responsible for transporting Hantengu, Gyokko, Akaza, Doma, and perhaps Kokushibo to different destinations, some at Muzan’s behest and others to their original locations. What makes this power truly terrifying for demon-kind is that the Biwa Demon was able to transport Hantengu to a place he had never been to before, indicating that she has the ability to transport a demon to any known location. Moreover, if the Upper Rank Two demon, Doma, was sent to a location he did not want to go, it implies that her power overrides the desires of the demons.
How the Biwa Demon Was Able to Kill Every Demon
Muzan possesses the power to obliterate all demons if he decides to utilize it. Nevertheless, the Biwa Demon can effortlessly transport the mightiest demons to a location where sunlight is present, rendering them powerless and ending any fight. The Biwa Demon can neutralize any competition or struggle for higher ranks among the demons with a simple movement, leaving them helpless. While Muzan may be immune to such ability due to his desire to maintain his authority, other demons appear to lack resilience against it.
It seems that her ability to effortlessly maneuver around demons and vanquish them with sunlight is often disregarded as just another aspect of her power, rather than a weapon to be wielded against these creatures. Nevertheless, this ability grants her the potential to take down formidable foes such as Akaza, Doma, and even Kokushibo, if she were to ever ascend to the ranks of the Demon Slayer Corps. While her skill is an ideal countermeasure against demons, it may not necessarily prove effective against humans. Essentially, it is considered a supportive Blood Art, but one with the potential to cause tremendous harm to the demon race, despite being overlooked.
