The enthusiasm for Demon Slayer Season 3 is intensifying as the anime releases a new movie ahead of its debut.
The much-awaited To the Swordsmith Village movie has already achieved the highest spot in Japan’s box office revenue, garnering about US$8.73 million since its premiere on 3rd February, reported by Anime News Network.
The Demon Slayer 2023 movie offers a glimpse into the upcoming third season of the anime. The To the Swordsmith Village film incorporates the concluding two sections of the Entertainment District Arc, along with the first episode of the Swordsmith Village Arc.
Come April, the third season of Demon Slayer will commence, continuing the epic clash between the Demon Slayer Corps and the malicious Muzan Kibutsuji plus his Upper Rank Moons. What is Demon Slayer Season 3’s Swordsmith Village Arc?
The upcoming season will follow the storyline from chapters 98 to 127 of the manga.
Following the events of the second half of Season 2, Tanjiro Kamado, Nezuko Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, Inosuke Hashibira, and the Sound Hashira, Uzui Tengen, succeeded in defeating the Upper Demon Six siblings Daki and Gyutaro in the Entertainment District Arc.
The Demon Slayer Corp members endured a great ordeal in the battle, with many of them left close to death and a powerful Hashira, Tengen, sustaining lasting harm as a result of the conflict in the Entertainment District. As Tanjiro and his allies recover, the demons have started devising their next plan to weaken the Demon Slayer Corp.
Release date for Season 3 of Demon Slayer
The Swordsmith Village Arc will make its debut on April 9, starting at 11:15 a.m. JST, 10:15 a.m. GMT+8, 2:15 a.m. GMT, and April 8, 6:15 p.m. PT. This will be a one-hour special, carrying on directly from the Entertainment District Arc in Season 2.
Where can I watch Season 3 of Demon Slayer?
Season 1 and 2 of Demon Slayer can be found on Crunchyroll and Netflix, however, ufotable has not yet revealed which streaming services will host the upcoming Season 3 episodes when they premiere on April 9.
